Local SEO: get found where you actually work.
Google Business Profile, consistent contact details, reviews and service pages: we work on your presence in local searches and on the map, for the areas you actually serve.
On the same results page, two different systems.
When someone searches “plumber Longueuil”, Google shows business profiles on a map, then website pages. The profiles depend on your Business Profile; the pages, on your website. Both share the same consistency signals: name, address, phone number, categories.
We work on both, starting from the services and areas you want to grow, and from how you serve your clients: at your address or at theirs.
Three factors, one of which no one controls.
Google states that no payment can buy a better local ranking.
Proximity
The distance between the person and your business. When it works against you, it’s better to target searches that are less sensitive to distance.
Relevance
Do your categories, services, description and website pages clearly say what you do?
Prominence
Your reviews, the sites that cite you and the consistency of your contact details across the web.
A profile set up properly, then kept up to date.
Before optimizing, we check that your situation is eligible and that the profile matches how you serve your clients.
- The right type of business: an address open to the public or a service area.
- A primary category chosen based on what your clients search for, not your org chart.
- Up-to-date services, hours, description and photos.
- A realistic service area, limited to the areas you actually cover.
- One profile per location actually occupied, and only one.
Illustrative scenario. The problem often comes down to a category, inconsistent contact details or a missing service page.
What can cost you appearances, or even a suspension.
These practices are tempting and widespread. We don’t use them, and we correct them when they’re already in place.
Keywords in the name
The profile name must be the business name, as it appears in real life.
An unoccupied address
A virtual office, PO box or third-party address doesn’t qualify for a valid profile.
Duplicate profiles
Two profiles for the same location hurt each other and complicate any correction.
Inflated categories or service area
Expanding to appear everywhere dilutes relevance and can trigger a review.
The same name, the same address, the same phone number, everywhere.
A move, an old name, a campaign phone number, abbreviations: discrepancies pile up in directories, associations and platforms. We correct them methodically.
Inventaire
The places where your business is mentioned outside your website.
Reference format
A single version of your name, address and phone number, approved with you.
Comparaison
Each mention is compared with that reference, detail by detail.
Correction
In order of importance: the most consulted and most reliable sources first.
Reviews obtained and managed by the rules.
Ask at the right time
Right after the service, to all your clients, without picking the ones who seem satisfied.
Respond to every review
Positive and negative alike, in a personalized, measured way and in the language chosen for your profile.
What we don’t do
Offering something in return, screening clients before asking them or discouraging negative reviews: Google prohibits it.
One page per city, only if demand justifies it.
Website pages complement the profile. A page per area can help, provided it is useful and true.
When the page has something to say
• You actually serve this area
• There is demand for your services in this city
• You have information specific to this area
• Each real branch has its own page
When only the city changes
• Identical pages where only the city name changes
• Cities you don’t serve
• Addresses or offices that don’t exist
Indicators taken from your own accounts.
Position on the map varies depending on where the person is searching from; we don’t guarantee it. Instead, we track the actions your profile and pages generate.
| Indicator | Where to find it | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Calls from the profile | Your Business Profile performance data | Direct contacts |
| Direction requests | Your Business Profile performance data | Potential visits to your location |
| Views in Search and Maps | Your Business Profile performance data | Your local visibility |
| Local searches showing your pages | Your website’s search data | The contribution of your service pages |
| Leads received | Your forms and calls | The business result |

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Business Profiles and local visibility.
Google My Business, Google Business Profile, business listing: are they the same thing?
Yes. It’s the same tool, which has changed names over the years. Today it’s officially called Google Business Profile.
What’s the difference between the map and the classic results?
The map shows business profiles; the classic results show website pages. They are two separate systems that share signals such as the consistency of your contact details.
Can a business without an address open to the public have a profile?
Yes, if it travels to its clients: it then declares a service area and hides its address. A business that operates only online isn’t eligible for a profile on the map.
How many categories should I choose?
A well-chosen primary category, then only the secondary categories that truly describe your services.
Do I need a profile for each branch?
Yes, one per location actually occupied, with staff on site, and a separate page on your website for each one.
Can I offer a discount in exchange for a review?
No. Google’s rules prohibit incentives, and a violation can lead to restrictions on your profile.
Do your clients search for you close to home?
Tell us about your services, how you serve your clients and the areas you target. We’ll review your profile and your local presence with you.
